感想

有名な映画らしいが、ラブホなき時代の古い映画という印象。

出世欲のあるサラリーマン C.C.バクスターは典型的なサラリーマン。

1960年の映画だからか、ラブシーン、ベッドシーンがシンプル過ぎる。

素朴な疑問は、C.C.バクスターは保険会社辞めてどうするんだろう？

ジャックレモン

主人公はジャックレモン。

ジャック・レモン（Jack Lemmon, 1925年2月8日 – 2001年6月27日）は、アメリカ合衆国マサチューセッツ州ボストン出身の俳優。

本名はジョン・ユーラー・レモン三世（John Uhler Lemmon III）。戦後アメリカ映画界最高の喜劇俳優と言われた。

実はこの映画では “mensch” という言葉がテーマになっている。

映画の中では”human-being” と説明されているけれど、辞書を引いたらドイツ語で「いい人、立派な人」という意味らしい。

「男らしさ」よりも「人間的」あるいは「まっとうな人間」であることが大切だというメッセージを送っている。
